Lady's Story, written by Nancy E. King owner of Redking Irish Setters
For many years I have worked with fellow show breeder Susan  Murphy rescuing Irish Setters in Colorado and
surrounding states. We have fostered and  re- homed many Irish Setters. Recently we took in a rescue that is
tugging at our hearts. On Tuesday evening 01/02/2007 I received a call from a good samaritan that had found
an Irish Setter lost, freezing, and starving at the intersection of 88th and Federal in Colorado. She had no collar
and no tattoo or other identification. She is obviously nursing a litter of puppies and no puppies were in the
vicinity in which she was found. I am worried about the safety and location of her babies. I have called animal
control and local shelters and there  is an ad in the newspaper for her in the found dog section. Thanks to
Susan Murphy who called Channel 9 News, we were able to get a Channel 9 news report on the Saturday
evening news! Hopefully we will be able to locate her two missing families. Someone must be looking for her
and I want to get the word out that this young 'Lady' is safe and at my home. She is missing her babies and
looks for them constantly. So please, if you know anything about this young Irish or her two missing families,
contact Nancy E. King at 970-587-5366. Or Susan Murphy ISCC coordinator at 1-402-362-0276. Thank you

Jake -  Adopted!  - Male - Field Bred - Owner turn in - Jake in is a two year old field bred boy. He is neutered and
current on all shots. He came into rescue due to a divorce situation but was very good with the children and cats in
his family. He is crate trained, rides very well in cars, does not  jump fences, and just loves to play with other dogs.
He needs work on house training & walking on a lead, and off leash training(come) but he has done very well since
being here and is crate trained. He would love to just play in the yard but must be a part of the family. He has white
on his chest and a bit on his nose. Needs an obedience home with a fenced back yard. pedigree unknown

Sam I Am -  Adopted! - I have picked up a gorgeous bench bred boy from Larimer County Humane Society in Fort Collins
Colorado today 06/24/2007.. He is 5 years old. He  is named 'Sam" I am calling him Sam I Am. He was owner turned in along
with his  Collie partner to the Shelter. He has a large kink in his tail. Currently he is intact  however  he is scheduled for
neutering and shots on 06/26/2007 as per Larimer County Shelter rules and the contract I signed with them. He is a little thin
and has a show  length coat that is badly tangled and matted, dreadlocks. As soon as I get him groomed I will take pictures
and get him on the various  Rescue listings and websites.
Newsflash - update - Sams Breeder has claimed him and Sam
will be going home with his Breeder 06/27/07 Thank you to his breeder for taking responsiblity for him!
Sam was neutered as per Shelter contract and groomed and vet checked. His breeder had him collected and frozen prior
to his neutering.

Irish Rescue has just picked up two English Setters on Thurday August 30th, 2007. A young blue belton female puppy
about 5 months old in Torrington Wyoming and a young adult orange belton male in Scottsbluff NE who is about two years
old and is obedience trained! Both are field bred no registration information. Huge kudos to my co-breeder Sandi Ross for
picking these two kids up! Both are HW negative, current on shots, and will be spayed and neutered. So now need to find
two homes for these two and could really use some help in funding the spay and neuter of these two since we are Irish
Rescue and the vet bills are being paid for out of our personal pockets! Any help would be so appreciated.  5 dollars, ten
dollars, even one dollar would help so much.
Please send donations to Nancy E. King @ 260 Bobcat Drive Milliken Colorado
