First Place in Stud Dog Class at the ISCArizona Specialty Sunday April 13th, 2008
2008 ISCA Nationals and ISCArizona Specialty in Scottsdale Arizona
It'sTuesday evening and nine Irish and I are home from a 12 day trip and 10 days in Scottsdale Arizona at
the 2008 Nationals. Got in at 3:30 am and I am now sleep walking. Whew! What a trip it was for me. And
them. Took the Toy Hauler RV and left Saturday morning and arrived Sunday night in Scottsdale.
Camped with my daughter Ashley and grandaughter Elizabeth who is 2 and their Toy Hauler. We grilled
some really nice steaks and visited. Monday we were both able to get into the show grounds and set up a
permanent RV camp for a week. I am so glad I got to go to AZ as Ashley and her family are moving to
Texas just north of Houston in The Woodlands and I might not get to see them for a while. Well I am
proud of my 6 red babies who took the trip and the camping and the show as if they had done it all their
little lives. They turned 8 months old on Monday in Scottsdale. They started their first show ever on
Wednesday in 6-9. The two boys showed well in sweeps and my youngster Sam (Redkings History
Repeats)got a 5th place that was excellent for a first try. We didn't do anything much on Wednesday in
regular class but they got more experience and more confidence. Thursday it was the girls turn and four
little princesses pranced into the ring for their debut in Sweeps. My Maggie (Redkings Repeat
Process)took a 5th place. We didn't do much on Friday but they had a good time in regular class and on
Saturday we got a 5th place in Stud Dog. Saturday night I went to the Awards banquet picked up 3
Championship medallions and had a really good time and was runner up on several Annual Awards and
that was a good time also. Got back to the RV at 11:00 and got to bed at 12;30 needing to be up at 5 am.
Sunday came (all too early)and all got a new bath and I could tell they were starting to 'get it'. The four
princess girls took their turn and my Lexus(Redkings Repeat Sequence) got a second place in puppy 6-9
regular class! The two boys went in for 6-9 and Sam(Redkings History Repeats) got a first place in 6-9
regular class and his brother Houston(Redkings Repeat Performance) took a third place also! Wow!
Good boys . Then Sam took Reserve Winners Dog! Oh really wow, and then Sam took Best Puppy which
made me cry I was so proud of him! Then I got to watch some of the nicest Irish I have seen strut their
stuff. What an awesome sight. In the Stud Dog class after Breed judging I was honored when my big boy,
Redkings Double Dog Dare, and his four 'get' took an awsome 1st place win! I so hope the pictures turn
out well. We had a great time and visited with some really nice people and I have a big thanks to the
Arizona Club and the hard working members who put on such a good show! What nice bunch of folks!
The ISCA members did a fabulous job also and were so helpful. The prizes were awesome and I am
honored that I got to take some of them home with me. Great National and a job well done! I am looking
forward to seeing all the photos from folks who were ringside taking them. I'll bet they are as breathtaking
as my drive to Flagstaff was. And it was breathtaking dropping into Verde Valley with a RV on a
rollercoaster ride! Whew! Well I am home with a weeks worth of King Trucking paperwork to do tomorrow
and if I don't some sleep I won't be worthad-m so good night to you all. Congratulations to all who took
wins and to all who made this a National to remember! Here are some pictures from the show and the
National RV parking sight where we camped for a week! Sincerely
